The response is odd. The Tachikoma looks at Derek for a little bit, and eventually raises its claw hands in a shrug. "I don't know what you mean."

I try to explain that I'm remembering another world, and that's the one time I might as well be talking to my toaster. Maybe Retrospec doesn't see it as a person, a user? Or maybe this specific Tachikoma didn't exist in that world, and this is a whole new experience?"
