The little chirping bat-like creature is cute, really, and Touya is looking up at one with a smile, unaware of the danger (?) it poses.
"Hey, you." He reaches up to offer a finger in case it wants to rest a little. "Are you cold?"

Of course Touya shook his snowglobe. Of course he did. So here he is now, staring down at the small thing cupped in his palms, his expression sad and wistful, which he'll shake the moment anyone speaks to him, of course.
The snowglobe... is showing an image of a family. Touya is about seven or eight years old, sitting on a piano bench next to his mother as they play on the instrument together. Sakura is one or two, herself, held by their father who is looking at his wife with undisguised love, while Sakura is clearly enjoying both the contact and the music. Touya is... focused on the piano, but also smiling a little.
Especially after last month, this wonderful memory made real is... almost too much.

... once Touya has gotten in touch with Sakura to make sure that she is all right and will call him if anything happens, yes, of course he's taking part of the games. Snowboarding and skating are his competitions of choice.

Touya vehemently disagrees with the claim that he has been naughty this year. Or any year. So he has no intention to doing anything specifically to appease that 'checklist.'
However, seeing someone carrying something large and unwieldy and precariously balanced gets him to step quickly to their side, without thinking twice about it.
