WHO: Rose and Violet Geteilt
WHERE: the Recolle Cemetery
WHEN: sometime in the first half of October
WHAT: It's up to the two least responsible Geteilts to try and save their sisters! And the rest of the city, them too.
WARNINGS: Grave robbing for the sake of item hunting! And Rose is a potty mouth as always.
[When Rose reads the letter they get, she's at least relieved that she won't have to travel too far out to find this item. No, instead she and her sister just have to waltz through a graveyard and then dig part of it up. Cheery. But it's not like she has any serious qualms about doing this, and she doubts Violet will either. Actually, she's more bothered by the fact that she'll have to find a shovel for this.
So she asks Violet to meet back up with her outside the cemetery once they've both acquired shovels for digging. Before long, she stands outside it, ready and waiting. As always, Rose just wants to get this item hunt done with as quickly as possible, but at this point she's also expecting some freakish monster or ghost or whatever to be lurking through the graveyard for them to deal with.]

Eventually.
She's decked out in the practical graverobbing ensemble of a black negligee under an actual lab coat, hiking boots, and gardening gloves. She has an extra pair of those, too, which she tosses at Rose without any sort of warning or preamble. Her shovel still has a tag attached. ]
Hi.
You're early.

So Rose catches the gardening gloves without much fuss, putting them on and thinking that she probably should've thought of this herself. Then again, it's not like her hands won't just fix themselves back through whatever happens to them.
But she doesn't want to think about that.]
Maybe you're just late.
no subject
I don't think that's it.
So, we're just digging until we find rocks?
Did you bring a light?
no subject
She nods then shows her flashlight, flicking it on and off a few times before keeping it on.]
Wouldn't be the perfect recipe for a horror movie without it. Come on, let's head in.

Violet shuffles through the thin carpet of damp, dead leaves, pressing the soles of her boots a bit more heavily into the dirt than is strictly necessary so that they'll make an audible crunch. God, what a good graveyard.
But then she stops short and squints suspiciously. ]
Rose.
Do you see that?
[ She means the line that's faintly visible under her feet, but she's not going to say as much. That would be leading the witness. ]
no subject
Well, it's still not an easy topic for her. If anything, it's only gotten harder.
Besides, after looking around for a moment, Rose is surprised to find that she really does see something.]
Either there's something glowing under us, or we're both going crazy. Crazier. [Which, to be fair, she wouldn't be surprised at.]
no subject
I just realized.
We should've brought dowsing apparatus.
Let's follow the glow.

[But she starts walking along the brightest leyline under them. As she follows along though, it doesn't take long for it to start splitting and branching. She looks over at Violet.]
Which one should we pick?
no subject
[ Instead of answering, Violet swings her shovel up, clutching the handle in both hands, and strikes the ground violently (burying the tip of the spade right where the lines start to branch).
Of course, it's not like she has superhuman strength or anything (ha ha ha), so it doesn't sink in all that far. ]
Hmmmm.
I don't think there's anything here.
[ without another word, she yanks the shovel back out and wanders off along the leftmost branch. ]

[She'll follow Violet without fuss, keeping her eye out for anything else of notice. Seeing how often the leylines split and branch though, she sighs.]
We better not have to check every single one of these.

[ Violet is used to basing her actions on instinct, passing whim, and the vaguest of inclinations, so interpreting the strange input from her enhanced senses comes naturally to her; she doesn't even pause at most of the branches and chooses between alternate paths without any hesitation. (She's just pretty sure!)
But she's not always sure. She stops short at a little knot of the lines; it's not the brightest or most exciting-looking intersection they've passed, but, eh, she kinda wonders. This time she just steps aside and then stares meaningfully at Rose. What this means is that she wants Rose to be the one to try this spot with her shovel. What she says is: ]
Well?
no subject
[Violet's been completely fine with leading them so far, she can't tell what the problem with this bunch of branches is. But maybe that's not fair to her to make her do all the work. (Duh, Rose.) Oops. So before her sister can give an answer that she probably wouldn't even understand, Rose looks back down at the branches beneath them before standing her shovel on top of it...
And then letting it go, watching it fall to one of the left branches. She didn't shove it in like Violet, but at least she used the shovel.]
Let's try this one.

After a bit more wandering, they find themselves in front of a monument to those whose bodies were never recovered...
Violet assumes Rose can tell as easily as she can that this is the right place, so she skips over acknowledging that part when she speaks again. ]
There won't be any bodies...
[ Disappointing. ]
no subject
[She's sort of joking but she also wouldn't put it past Violet to actually do that, so AS LONG AS SHE'S NOT HERE FOR THAT... But it's time to dig in, and Rose wastes no time in putting her shovel back to work.]
no subject
...but Violet's also very easily distracted when there's something interesting, and the nearby monument catches her eye when as she stacks some of the crosses she's dug up on the path where she's putting them out of the way. She simply watches it silently for... quite a while; if Rose doesn't notice on her own, though, eventually she'll alert her (by putting a hand on her back and pointing). ]
