James was carefully watching this whole scene unfold. He didn't know that she had some kind of combat experience--whether military, mercenary, or something else, he couldn't tell. But she clearly knows her way around violence and weaponry, which is a surprise to him.

What's also a surprise to him is her question to him. He tries to keep himself neutral, to keep from giving anything away, but he can't help but laugh. She doesn't even know the half of it.

"Of course I do. It sounds like you do too."
