Koutarou had just been coming home after leaving very early in the morning to drive his best friend to the doctor for an emergency, and doesn't expect to return to the apartment building being in a ruckus. He was just going to pass and head toward his own apartment but he stopped in the stairs when he reached the floor the ruckus came from, and has to sidestep to not get knocked over.
