Despite his apprehension toward visiting any of the areas outside the city limits, after his impromptu trip to Pesgare the previous month, Tatsuo is a little more kindly disposed toward the little island community. So when he hears the village was hit by a tsunami, he heads out the following weekend to help with the clean up efforts.

He just didn't expect to get pulled underwater for his troubles.

After a few panicked moments, as he tries to figure out which way is up, Tatsuo realizes he can breath. Somehow. Because there is a bubble of air around his head. Tatsuo spends the rest of the voyage to Pesgare poking his hand in and out of the airbubble and just generally testing its stability.

Once at the village, Tatsuo can be found with work gloves on, hauling debris to designated collection spots, helping villagers repair their homes, and at one point putting a children's playground back together.

"Hey! Could you hold this for a sec?"

Despite the whole underwater thing going on with Pesgare, Tatsuo thought he might try another of the new regions. The fact Respatrum is currently floating rules that out immediately. While Tatsuo doesn't have a problem with heights, he does have an issue with going splat on the ground below. And Bosuma, for all it's supposed charm, is just one step away from a jungle. So that gets ruled out as well.

Which leaves the mountains, Magatus, and an extremely unwelcome blackout.

Tatsuo is able to spot the mark easily enough when he wakes up in the cave. It's glowly softly on the inside of his right wrist. Even when he yanks a glove over his hand and tugs down the cuff of his blue jacket the glow is still visible.

The forest proves to be... more than unhelpful in Tatsuo's opinion. He wouldn't have even come out here, except he needs to find a way to get rid of this damn mark. When the trees start whispering, he quickly remembers the talking flowers from almost a year ago and starts looking for a way back out of the forest... but he's gotten turned around at some point and doesn't know where the village is anymore.

[ooc: run into him in the forest or after he gets back to the city and the mark starts to spread up his arm and back, though final guilt absolution is reserved for Matt]

Tatsuo is mildly amused that at least part of his prediction comes true. There is a mail shower. As he glances around at the letters and packages, he spots familiar and unfamiliar names. He mostly picks up mail for people he knows, but it's entirely possible he picked up a complete stranger's as well!

What Tatsuo didn't expect was the mail to... fight back. As he's about to pick up a small Amazon package, the box suddenly produces a set of teeth and snaps down on hiw hand.

"Ow! What the hell?!"
