On one hand, he likes watching them. They're entertaining, and sometimes pull up pieces of history most people would forget to the tides of old white cis men. On the other hand, they're usually made by middle aged white cis men, and thus the details are left out. Or they want happy endings for the hero, when history doesn't have any of those.
