-It was a yearly tradition at this point. One that May could hardly pass up, even if she was doing marginally better than she had in years past. But with the huge crowd gathered, she had herself an impossibly irresistible situation. Especially towards the front of the crowd, where there was more obvious signs of her favorite targets. Expensive, tailored coats, fine purses, designer hats and watches, high end phones and other little toys. And given how tightly packed it all was, she barely had to try at all.

A bump here, a bump there, a small apology, a charming girlish smile. Out of your pocket and into hers. Money, items, all of it. She was making a killing and could only do better before the ceremony was through.

-She could feel it, and had strongly ever since the Mayship arrived. Pesgare, the open ocea, was calling to her. It was a longing like no other, the draw of a blue sea and blue sky, a freedom that was so deeply important to her that it struck at her very core in a part of her heart occupied by few other things. ... She had no idea how to get the Mayship to move. It had been sitting at dock since it arrived, gently floating, a welcome and warm home (especially with Sakura there) but not getting her any closer to her goal of returning to the sea the way she wished. She'd examined the consoles, stared at the strange looking engine, but not a single clue had come to her yet. Wasn't that how this was supposed to work?

She knew she'd have visitors, and she tried to keep herself presentable, but it was obvious this was starting to really strain her nerves...-
