May, what is love to you? Is love a burden? It seems to me that you view it as a burden upon your shoulders and upon the person that you love. I have never felt anything like you are now, but shouldn't it be happier? [ A beat. ] Love is a mundane, every-day feeling that I will never experience. It should bring happiness just thinking about the person that you love, but you only think of how it will upset them. You only think of how you must live in your pain.

[ Hm. ] If you have no right to tell them that you love them, you have no right to love them. If you can only think of love and experience pain, you have no reason to love them at all. [ ... ] So, will you give it up?
