Tatsuo engages in a little idle chit-chat here and there, but for the most part he's just too on edge to really attempt a proper conversation. Their reflections are mostly to blame, as he'll catch a flicker of movement in his peripheral vision only to realize it's just himself in the mirror.

"Is it... narrowing?"
He's not the best at it, but he can visually ballpark distances within about three inches. And for some reason... he's pretty sure the tunnel is narrower than when they first started.
