Akira is still struggling with aspects of that himself, so he can't entirely judge someone else for doing the same. A part of him is curious to see how Linden does end up cataloguing all of this--as someone who also isn't prone to the fantastical. Brain teasers, yes, Akira does remember those sorts of things in class, but the answer was always highly logical.
