[He doesn't relent when it comes to his attacks, bearing down on her defenses and keeping a keen eye on any openings to take advantage of when he can. Of course, he's being conscious of his own strikes too, because for as much as he chided her for not going harder on him, he doesn't want to hurt her, either. Not that he was going to handle her with kid gloves or anything like that-- he still was going to treat her like an equal opponent-- but he wasn't exactly going to go at this like he would an actual threat.

It wasn't as if Xiaolang was great at this either, though. To a trained professional, this probably came off as a couple of kids flailing away with a couple of swords, but he was genuinely trying to put whatever bits and pieces he knew into something cohesive. He's been practicing on his own, in order to memorize and perfect what he learned, so those bits, at least, he was semi-good with. As she comes in with a new strike, he tries to quickly catch it against his own sword, though his feet fumble slightly with the effort. He pushes his false blade against hers, using his strength to try to drive her back.]


You're still moving a little slowly. Work on that.
