Freya's strike sends it crashing into a wall, a wall that creaks and gives way, made brittle by ice and age. The monster struggles to rise, and then Minako's lightning rips into it. Pen joins in, a blast of electricity roiling out of her fingertips and tearing the creature's trident away from it.
It tries to rise again, shouting defiance, but something inside it gives way, and it buckles. Dropping to the ground in a near boneless heap, the monster begins to fade from sight, crumbling into snow. From the pile of rapidly dispersing ice, a crystal floats into the air, etched with a glyph. The crystal spins, shakes, and then flies towards Penelope, crashing into her chest and bowling her over. And then it's simply gone, leaving the girl in the snow, breathing heavily, pressing a hand over where she'd been struck.

"...Hell...I think that worked..."
