[He knows what Jirou means, and yes, in more than one sense, he is home. But it's disturbing his normally set schedule for end-of-year greetings and celebrations and that is unsettling.]

Oh I want to open it! I brought you something here too but your second one will have to wait until we get home!

[But he's already looking so eager to open his gift. Like a kid in a candy store.]

[Kenta goes to grab the kimono box so he can put it on Jirou's lap.Most probably Jirou has recognized the type of box that is, he's gotten enough from Kenta over the years.

It's been a while since the last one, though.]

Oh a kimono! What does this one look like?

[Excuse him while he goes to get that open RIGHT NOW. He's so eager to see what his new kimono looks like!]

[The silk of the kimono is beautifully embroidered, in colors that Jirou loves, black, red and gold and white. Kenta took great care in choosing the colors.]

It will look great on you.

[He shifts the fabric so he can see the rest of the pattern and touches it fondly.]

It's beautiful.

[Leaning over, he kisses his cheek.]

Will you help me put it on before we leave? I want to show up at momma and daddy's place wearing this.

I brought your make-up, too. and the hair accessories.

[Because if he changes then obviously he has to redo his make up and his hair.]

Is that why you said I should head down to the car with Kenti first?

[He giggles.]

You take such good care of me.

Why wouldn't I? You take care of me all the time.

[And now he realizes every day what Fai was saying about the fact they were basically married already. he's always done those little things for Jirou and it seems it's a couple thing much more than a best friend thing.]

[He gives him a quick kiss then has him hold the box while he gets up to go and get Kenta's present. Inside the beautifully wrapped box is a sword care kit. Perfect for keeping the long blade clean and sharp.

Jirou did a lot of studying to make sure that he got just the right kind a bit ago and has been saving it until now to give to him.

Because Jirou might love pretty things but Kenta does better with practical ones.]

[Kenta smiles as he discovers his own present, his fingers caressing the objects inside. He's seen some of them before but he's never owned his own sword before.]

[He closes the box carefully and sets it aside so he can put his arm around Jirou's shoulder.]

I taught Fai how to put on his kimono on his own too, but I also think you could give him a few pointers for how to move in it.

[Though he wonders how long that kimono will stay on before Fai and Iwai have their fun.

Buuuuuuut he's supposed to be behaving and not talking about sex in front of the kids. So he'll not say that!]

What colors did you get him?

Mostly white and pink, with a few touches of light blue. They look good on him.

I got him a fur stole and some hair accessories, too, so he can wear them now if he wants.

[He brushes his fingers through Jirou's hair.]

You look better with darker colors.

They do. That's the difference in our coloring there. But those are going to look amazing on him. I'm going to have to ask him for pictures after he plays with his boy.

[Of course he leans into the touches to his hair. He loves those.]

He might wait to wear pretty things like that until private times though. He hasn't really been that up to it since he lost his eye.

That's why I figured the kimono were a good idea. I knew Iwai-san would probably enjoy it, and make him feel pretty about wearing them. Like that he won't be too self-conscious.

[Kenta can be an airhead about many things, but when it comes to his friends he can be very thoughtful.]
