Surprising no one, Lucy was still terrible at mediating conflicts. She got just as agitated and indignant as her sister, wrenching the door open with more force than was strictly necessary.

The door led to the office wing, along with the employee lockers and the time recorder pad for clocking out. There was also one of her coworkers there, close enough that he narrowly avoided being socked in the face with the door. He was taller than both of them, his nametag read Simon, and he was understandably a bit startled by their sudden appearance.
