The slashes follow through in dealing damage—a black liquid spurts out of the wounds, but the monster doesn't seem at all to care.
As it tries to devour Robin Hood further, its body finally scuttles towards Goro to embrace him. It's suffocating, surely meant to crush his rib cage. ]
