It's A Housewarming Party
It's the big day! The three guys have finally finished their moving in process in the midst of the breakneck pace that resulted from the start of the academic year. Now that's over with, what better way to celebrate it than a housewarming party? If you've met Shin, Souji, or Yu at the very least once, you're definitely welcome (and probably directly invited) to this! You can even bring your friend if you like, they won't mind meeting new people at all.

I.
Welcome to the party! However you got here or whenever you got here, things already seem pretty lively. The decorations are very Halloween-y -- or, at least, they seem that way at first, since the predominant theme is cats. But then you realize it’s more with the cats than the spooky. There’s streamers, cat-patterned paper plates, and cat-ear headbands for all! Also, in the living room, someone has hung up a disco ball, and it’s delightfully flashy! So maybe you want to get down on the impromptu dance floor they’ve made by pushing the furniture back to the walls, or maybe you want something a little more tame.

If you do, there’s the kitchen! There’s cat-themed foods ready and waiting for you, and home-cooked BBQ on the stove! … it’s … kind of cobbled together, but they did their best. You can also find a big ol’ bowl of punch. It seems normal, and at the start of the night, it certainly tastes normal! Though, as the hours go on, you feel like maybe the flavor of it changes. Maybe they got a different kind…? It’s probably fine.

(It’s not fine, someone definitely spiked the punch. Have fun!)

II.
Well, if dancing and food aren’t your thing, there’s plenty of other things to do! The twins and Shin seem to have gone out of their way to be good hosts. In one corner, you can find karaoke going on! … which … is just you holding an upside down hairbrush in your hand and singing along to a Spotify playlist. But it’s the thought that counts, right?

Maybe you want to be a little more creative. Or maybe you don’t, and Shin and Souji simply ambush you. Either way, you better hope you like working with your hands, because you’ll find yourself in their kanpla dungeon! … whatever that is. Well, anyway, you won’t be able to leave until you build a model kit, so you better get cracking!

If you get curious or adventurous, you can always venture downstairs. The stairwell down is strung with lights, giving it a warm if somewhat spooky feel. In the candle-lit basement you’ll find a ouija board, with a sign hung over it that says “USE THIS TO CHAT WITH OUR FRIENDLY HOUSE GHOSTS!” … what friendly ghosts? Well, if you ask any of the hosts, they’ll happily confirm the house is haunted and there’s a ghost here in the basement! Are you brave enough to give the ouija board a try?

But if you just want to get a little crazy, it seems like somebody brought some nerf guns. There’s even a plastic sword. Are you ready for some hardcore LARPing?

III.
Of course, would it really be a party if nothing went wrong? This house is pretty old. Not run down, exactly, but it could use some repairs. Look, it’s all they could afford, they did their best!

… but their best isn’t quite enough to prevent some accidents. Rain wasn’t on the forecast tonight, but rain it does! And slowly but surely the house starts to leak. Maybe you notice a droplet falling on your forehead, or some water plopped onto your cupcake. Either way, you better grab a bucket, because this is only going to get worse!

And you know that bathroom door that’s been creaky all night? It’s finally going to do what you’ve been afraid it’d do: get stuck. No amount of pounding on it, from the outside or in, seems to get it to budge! You may need backup to break it down. Though, there’s always that window… it seems like you could fit through it if you tried!

Given all that spiked punch, the party also runs a little longer than planned. Midnight? Oh, no. No, it’s 2 AM, you party animals, you! Unfortunately, the neighbors are not so down with all these drunk teenagers yelling and carousing on the front lawn. You know this because you hear the wail of police sirens getting closer. Uh oh. Do you stand your ground, or do you make a break for it?

IV.
Well, in the end, all that panic may have been for nothing. The three hosts will manage to reassure the police and send them away with nothing more than a warning, so no one's getting arrested tonight!

But now it's like 3 in the morning and you're exhausted. Home might seem too far to get to, but you're more than welcome to spend the night here. Is it time to crash on the floor? Maybe snuggle up with a ghost in the basement? Steal the couch, or simply flop on top of who's already there? Hopefully you sleep tight, because if you don't, you may hear strange sounds in the night... bumps and creaks that just don't seem natural. Should you go check it out despite any spookiness? Or maybe you'd rather just stay here in your drunk friend pile and get some sleep.

And that's fine. You just might encounter another problem: one of the twins' many cats deciding to use you as a personal pillow. Hope you're not allergic! Sleep tight.
