[ Kanan hasn't really been to that many sleepovers, but she's definitely never been in a house this big. Mari's parents both seemed delighted to have them, and it almost feels like they have a whole wing of the house to themselves. But even that isn't as bad as laser pigs and flying monsters, so Kanan is more relieved than anything.

Honestly, with all the craziness of the last month, it's nice to do something normal. Kanan carries an ocean-green sleeping bag over one shoulder and a small spots duffel on the other, but now she kind of has to wonder if she'll need it or not... They must have extra beds in a place like this, right? ]

Wow, Mari... Your house is soo big!

[ there's definitely extra beds - or in this case, mari had some people help her move a bunch of mattresses into a room (some sleepover groups are smart others are not what can i say) so they can all sleep together int he same room. she's got tons of junk food and nail polish and all the things girls have at sleepovers

its all really exciting

especially because

its maris first real sleepover (don't tell anyone.) ]

[Li-Na is likewise in awe at the size of Mari's house. All of her friends in Hong Kong have apartments or condos, so she's never been inside a house so big. Li-Na doesn't have a sleeping bag, but she does have a couple blankets rolled up in her dance bag, along with her pajamas and some snacks.]

Like I would miss this! We really missed you, Mari!

[She gives Mari an excited hug]

Yeah, definitely!

[ Kanan agrees, joining in the hug because group hugs!! Are the best!! And she's really glad she gets to do this with her friends. She doesn't even drop her stuff before she goes for it, that's how much this hug matters to her. ]

We were super worried, I'm really glad you're okay.

[ she hugs both of them SO tight. shes so glad to see her friends and to not be stuck in damp mines and creepy haunted houses ]
