Bingo/Other June Stuff Catchall! [OPEN]
WHO: Kurt Wagner and Yooouuuu?!
WHERE: All around town!
WHEN: From July 3rd onwards... pretty much a catchall for the first half of the month
WHAT: Kurt's adventures as he attempts to fill out his bingo card and also has to deal with having a weird power, different from the weird power he was already getting used to.
WARNINGS: None yet, will update if necessary
A. You Know the Rules
[Kurt Wagner goes door to door, with a fancy-looking book of lyrics in hand. And he's also wearing a Santa hat. Because might as well go for full ridiculousness, right?
He'll knock on pretty much anyone's door, whether he knows them or not. And once they open? He'll sway in imitation of Rick Astley himself and begin to sing.]
We're no strangers to love...
You know the rules, and so do I!
[Yes, of course he's singing "Never Gonna Give You Up". Except that he's singing it in a style that actually sounds more like this song.
Of course, your character doesn't have to be the one answering the door. They can join if they want!Or try to file a complaint]
B. Classic Rock
[Kurt has made his way out to the lake located within Recolle Woods. And he's ready to practice some stone-throwing!
He picks up a rock with a smirk and tries throwing it right at the water! ...Except it proceeds to sink in without bouncing once.
After a few similar tries, Kurt groans and pulls at his hair in frustration.]
Aw, c'mon! It's always so easy on tv!
C. Role Models
[Even with all of the running around he's doing for this damn bingo game, Kurt still makes time for his first modeling photoshoot. And so, one morning you can find him outside a building in Tisse where modeling shoots happen. For once, Kurt is dressed in clothes that seem genuinely trendy, and he's even wearing a belt! But as the shoot's time draws closer, he looks at his reflection in his iphone and frets loudly]
Oh man, oh man... Come on, Kurt. You can do this. You can do this!
D. Wildcard
[Have something else in mind, or want to use Kurt for some different bingo slots, or just want to use some set-ups from the event log? Kurt can turn up pretty much anywhere around the city, so feel free to come up with a prompt, and/or contact me if you'd like to plot something out! My plotting comment is here and you can also find me on plurk at
goreo!
I will also include some starter comments for some of the pre-plotted bingo squares and other any other closed prompts!]

For Eleanor
He wasn't sure what to make of being able to teleport. It was... weird and scary. Could he really consider himself to be a human like this? Jade had her own similar power, and she seemed to accept it with her normal happy-go-lucky ways, but then she forgot everything. So Kurt didn't know what to think anymore.
Still, he figured he should at least try to show it to someone he's known for a while. So he texts Eleanor and asks her to meet him in the woods. He'll just chill there, trying to maintain a low profile as he awaits her.]
no subject
[So there she was, tromping into the woods in a pair of jeans and a light jacket, her bag over her shoulder, boots crunching in the summer grass.]
Hey. [She called out as she spotted him, raising a hand in greeting. And then she grinned a bit as she got closer.] Just so you know, I left a note at home about coming out here so if you axe murder me everyone is totally going to know it was you.
[She was kidding. Right? Right...?]
no subject
As she approached, he waved back to her in greeting and nervously laughed at her joke before trying ton make one of his own.]
Darn, there goes that plan! But... um... hey Eleanor! How's it going?
no subject
So what's up? You don't seem the type for clandestine woodland meetings you know.
no subject
It's just - there's something I have to show you, and it's kind of a big secret. It... might be weird, or scary. Or both! But.... It's a thing.
no subject
Weird and scary are kind of getting pretty normal, really. But okay. Whatever you need to show me, I promise not to freak out and scream or anything.
[She smiled what she hoped was a reassuring smile.]
no subject
Okay, so... Here it is!
[Time to just straight up show her. With a 'bamf', Kurt disappears, leaving behind smoke that smells of brimstone.
And he ultimately ends up perched on the branch of a tree above where he was just standing.]
no subject
[Eleanor stared at the spot where he had disappeared from, one hand coming up to wave away the smoke and smell. What in the...and then she spotted him up in the tree.]
Wait. ...Was that a teleport?
[Or had she just missed him moving because of the flash and smell...]
no subject
Yeah... That's it alright. It's... a thing I do now! [At least she doesn't seem to be afraid. But it's hard to tell for sure in the initial moment.]
no subject
[She was genuinely awed. Of all the power she'd heard about, that would certainly was the most fascinating. Her brain already wanted to know how it worked, there were a million questions running through her head but at the same time, one seemed the most obvious.]
...Why does it smell like that though?
no subject
[He smiles, relieved by that reaction as he crouches down atop the branch.
And at her, question, he gives a helpless shrug.]
Beats me! I swear, I've been using deodorant and everything.
no subject
Smell or not, it's awesome, yeah.
[And then her smile turned into a grin.]
...Want to see a trick?
no subject
Maybe. Can it top making someone disappear?
no subject
Hmm. Maybe? I think so.
no subject
Okay, you got my attention! What's up your sleeve?
no subject
[Right.]
[Her targets decided on, she held up a hand, out towards the trees opposite Kurt. A pair of rocks, baseball size, floated into the air and shot over to her, floating above her hand in a slow orbit. Another glance, raising her other hand, and two pine-cones rose up and darted over to join the two rocks, all four spinning in a circle now. Right. Her eyes narrowed a bit, and she gestured with her hand again, and another two rocks rose up and darted over as well.]
[The six items began spinning in two slow, circular orbits, two rocks and a pine-cone in each, and then Eleanor turned to face Kurt and gestured and the whole mess rose up to float in the air a couple feet in front of where he was perched in his tree.]
Tadaa.
no subject
Whoa... [Then he grins excitedly.] Now that was awesome! Eleanor, you- you're a psychic!
no subject
Nah, that would be awful. I'm telekinetic.
[She let the rocks drop to the ground once he had a good look, catching one of them at the last second and having it float over to hover above her hand.]
Totally different thing. Thank god. Who would want to be able to read minds?
no subject
And then he grabs onto the tree branch, swings along it's underside and drops himself to the ground before he continues.]
Okay, telekinetic. Right. Same difference! But man, either way this is so tight!!
no subject
It is pretty nice. A few people have fancier powers, but I am definitely a fan of mine. But you can teleport!
How far can you go?
no subject
Um... Not too far. It seems like it's only around ten feet?
no subject
[Eleanor was already thinking of how many ways someone could use a power like that.]
Can you go through stuff? I mean, walls and such?
no subject
Yeah... I've teleported right to the other sides of walls before! Totally freaky.
no subject
So how'd you figure out you could do it?
no subject
On accident! One day, I just started... poofing places! I couldn't control it, so it just kept happening. I even ended up in the high school's pool at one point!
[Kurt shakes his head as he looks back.]
Luckily, things simmered down over time. I think I'm getting some kind of a grip this time? At least now, I can control it most of the time.
