For reference, this is Ardyn's bingo card, filled with those I've already plotted with so far. YEAGER / duel of choice with a stranger

[Yeager is still stranger enough, as they’ve only interacted twice, and briefly over the network at that. But enough for him to recognize the man’s face as he passes by, and Ardyn grins, attempting to catch his attention.]

If it isn’t my fellow fashion connoisseur. [ARYDN YOU ARE NOT A FASHION CONNOISSEUR…] Fancy meeting you here. What brings you out and about on a dreadfully warm day like today, hm?

[Are you perhaps… looking for a stranger to duel with.]

[Jaeger pauses at that, then brightens immediately back to his usual level of cheer. Fashion connoisseur indeed!!]

Oh you know, a dreadful combination of errands and boredom, though it's more the latter than the former at this point!

[His accent is also very thick and very German.]

[The accent only gives him personality! He hadn't the pleasure of hearing him actually speak until now.]

Well, we can't have errands and boredom. An individual only has the capacity to handle one at a time, not both.

[His grin widens.]

Are you, by chance, participating in bingo?

I am, actually! Do you have something in mind?

[A satisfied-sounding "ha" escapes him.]

Would you be against the idea of me... challenging you to a duel?

[That gets him to smile, though the expression isn't totally innocent.]

That sounds like an interesting idea, depending on the type of duel! I'm certainly no fighter!

[He's kind of a noodle, actually, so fighting him would probably end after a single punch.]

Oh, no, I'm not much of a fighter myself. In fact, let's choose a duel that would be entertaining to the both of us, hm?

[A glance around the square they happen to be in reveals a few places of interest -- restaurants, various stores, a few places of entertainment.]

Billiards? Darts? Or perhaps a duel of words?

I'd be up for a game of billiards or darts! I'm afraid I'm not nearly as quick with my words as I could be!

[The truth is that he's better at billiards or darts, but! That's totally not important!!]

Satisfactory enough. Come then, let's find someplace suited for it.

[It'll take a bit of walking around, but (let's pretend this is later in the evening or smth) eventually they'll find a quaint little bar not far from where they are. Billiards tables, some occupied, but a few empty, are in the back.]

Something to drink in the meanwhile? Or shall we get straight to it?

Might as well enjoy ourselves, ja? A drink sounds nice.

[Jaeger's usual idea of fun involves dragging Albert Wesker out drinking so this is actually a step up from the usual. All for a bingo space!!]

[One would hope that Ardyn Izunia is a little more inclined to have fun than poor Albert Wesker. Ardyn will lean up against the bar, giving them time to place a drink order or two.]

Might as well. I've all the time to kill.

[In other words, even if this turns into a drunken disaster, at least they'll be entertained.]

[As it should be, really. Drinking makes everything better!!]

Would you care to start or should I?

[After placing his drink order (something strong dark-colored, no doubt, in a short glass), Ardyn makes his way to one of the unoccupied pool tables. With a half-bow and a sweep of his arm in mock presentation, he gestures to it.]

I was the one who did the challenging, so. After you.

[Nice touch, Ardyn. Jaeger smirks a bit and selects a pool cue.]

If you insist!

[so what do you say about handwaving this game because I've never played pool in my life?]

[Handwaving is fine! In fact, they might even be drinking too much to have even kept up with the game at some point.

Later in the night, Ardyn is just laughing.]

I think you cheated.

[Which, from the tone of his voice, implies that he doesn't think that at all. He just found this outing very entertaining overall.]

[Who needs to keep up with the game when you've got drinks anyway??]

I most certainly did not! Or if I did, it wasn't this turn!

[He likewise sounds very pleased with it and might be joking?? It's hard to tell sometimes with him.]

Oh, just not this turn. [-he says, grinning. He lifts up his glass (which number was he on? Well, it didn't matter) which had been resting on the edge of the billiards table, then takes another drink.]

Then I think I can forgive you this time, friend. Though I daresay I should challenge you to another "duel" of billiards again sometime soon.

I'd quite enjoy that! You've proved to be quite the admirable adversary!

[He'll raise his glass as well, tipping his head a bit in acknowledgement.]

I thank you for the compliment. Next time, we'll try our hands at darts. Maybe my aim is better than my ability to use a pool cue.

I'll be looking forward to that day! I'll have a harder time cheating with darts anyway, so I'm sure it'll be interesting!
