I wanna ride my chocobo all day♪

[here's one ridiculous individual going about the local market, taking pictures of stands and individuals--the usual people watching. he's also very much here because it's on his way to the stables.]

[needless to say, however, prompto has a hard time getting the song out of his head, considering just how hype he is for the birdhorses all the time. so it's not going to be the first nor the last time that he'll be found humming our straight up singing the song at random.]

Ride a chocobo all night and day~ Until many treasures are found♪ Hmm, mmm♪

[after one more picture, he stops by the water fountain, standing atop the ledge (dangerous...) and checks through his pictures, still humming.]

Well, don't you look lively today?

[It's kind of hard to miss Prompto, with his bouncing and singing and bounding about. It's also hard to miss the guy she almost dropped a plant on. Freya still felt a little bad about kicking him like that.]

[This time, though, she's got a reusable bag full of groceries slung over her shoulder instead of a giant pot of soil and tree.] Aren't we a little excited about the birds? [I mean, how could she not tease him about his song?]

Oh!

[he's stunned away from his hyper-concentration on his pictures to glance over at freya, who is the perfect picture of tanned goddess of strength under the sun! ...this isn't even puppy crush territory, he's just massively impressed.]

Hey! You're from that one time!

[he jumps off the fountain so he's back on the ground, (she's despairingly taller than him), and he smiles]

Who wouldn't be! Were you also going to see them? I'm on my way to the stables.

That one from that one time. Yeah, that's me alright. [It's a little sarcastic, but she sounds amused, at least! This guy's so excitable.]

[Freya shrugs one shoulder in a way that emphasized her grocery bag.] Can't say it was on my to-do list. That little song of yours takes it to a new level.

[it feels like he might be forgetting something in regards to her... but he can't quite put his mind to it, not just yet anyway. not when there's chocobo conversation to be had]

Haa, you think? It just popped into my head one day, and now I can't stop thinking about it! The worst earworm, since I can't really place where I heard it from first.

[oh!]

I'm gonna see if they'll let me ride one for a bit today.

[That bit about the song makes her tilt her head curiously. It sounds a little familiar.] That so? Well, which direction you going? I'll walk with you if it's not too out of my way.

[She means, chocobos are cool, but she has to think about the perishables.]

[imagine all the photo ops he'll be getting of freya with the birds! it's one thing to go there on his own and, yes, have tons of fun--but it's another thing to have a subject for his pictures.]

[oh--that reminds him of what he's forgotten...]

Right this way! Just outside the market's main plaza.

[he starts leading the way, humming the song in his excitement, before turning around to walk backwards to face freya]

Ahh, I forgot to send you that picture I took of you. You'll still give me the chance to send it over, right?

That close, huh? Color me surprised—couldn't even smell 'em.

[She ambles after Prompto, convinced she could spare a handful of minutes if it wasn't that far.]

Well, sure. You expect me to tell you that you missed your window and I'm not interested anymore?

Well, I dunno, I just wanted to give you the opportunity to tell me to forget about it and delete it?

[he grins, hoping he comes off as just joking (which he is). he turns on his heels]

Never got your name, so it was kinda hard to remember that I had to send it over anyway...

[but he's not all too disappointed. they've met again. it's like fate, right? he scans through his camera, to find the picture of freya so many weeks ago--and until he does, he shows it over to her.]

It's one of my favourite pictures, though. You make for a good model.

[She makes an amused noise, tilting her head a bit with a grin.] Don't doubt the model part—[she's good looking and she knows it]—but you look like the sort that snaps shots wherever he goes. It can't be that great.

[It is pretty nice, though. She's sure her mom would love to frame a copy of it and set on a table somewhere.] Oh, and name's Freya.

[give him the benefit of the doubt!]

[she doesn't say anything about the picture, but prompto notices the change in her expression. he nailed it, and he knows it.]

Yeah, well, still... And my name's Prompto. Do you want a physical copy or is a digital one okay?

[he takes back his camera, looping the strap around his neck. they're close to the chocobos now; the wark sounds of the birds starting to become louder]

[She shrugs lazily.] Digital's fine. Should be able to find me online easy enough, with a name like mine.

[The telltale wark and the telltale stench.] So, what's got you so psyched about the birds? Plenty of people'll are giving 'em a suspicious look lately.

[it's true. a name like freya should be easy enough to find]

[but, most importantly, is defending the bad reputation the chocobo seem to be getting! so prompto firmly states, in his most convincing voice, spreading his arms about to make his point:]

They've done nothing wrong! They're lovely creatures and they're really friendly once you get to know them and feed them a few greens! Besides, they have the catchiest theme song!

[She huffs a bit, arching an amused eyebrow Promto's way.]

Not gonna argue that they're friendly, but since when do the beasts have a theme song?
