WHAT: Iwai's paintball birthday party has turned into a paint splattering party! Thanks Retrospec.

[When the world went white, it threatened to crush Fai's plans for Iwai's first real birthday party ever. How on Earth were they supposed to have a paintball party when they had to paint the world just to see any of it? Over the next several hours of frantic painting just to see their house and pets again, however, a plan began to evolve.

On Friday a text went out to everyone Fai thought might be coming to the party, and everyone he'd talked to about it:]

CHANGE OF PLANS. BDAY PARTY FOR IWAI, MAY 6 @ 2PM @ UNSTOPPABLE. LETS HELP MUNE-CHAN PAINT UNSTOPPABLE! cake and drinks coming with us. lmk if you need help finding the shop

[Small bits of the paintball shop are already visible, mostly near the corners, as Iwai's done his best to restore his livelihood by himself. And yes this is a surprise party--Fai actually managed to keep from spilling the beans.

Fai will be driving to the party, a cake and snacks and drinks packed into his newly-painted, pretty little sea-green Prius. While the painting is going on he'll be setting up a folding table nearby for refreshments, and there's a good chance he'll end up trying to convince someone to team up with him and splatter everyone else with paint at some point. Because he's a giant ten-year-old.

Sure. If it was just a paintball shop. I ain't ever run just a paintball shop. Just because you ain't buying the stuff don't mean I don't sell airsoft.

Like I said, you don't buy the stuff. Honestly I prefer airsoft but I know paintball is popular here too so I sell for that as well.

[He smirks back at him.]

So did the party work? Were you surprised?

Easy to do when I forgot it was my birthday.

[He means that. He literally forgot.]

[Derek's eyebrows raise up in surprise.]

You're kidding. How did you forget your birthday?

[geckoman]

Why would I remember it?

[He's not seeing why this is so surprising.]

I don't know, you tell me. Was it just never made a big deal before now?

This is the first year I've ever even celebrated my birthday.

[He's not even joking about that. Forty-six years and this is the first time.]

[Derek was about to ask ,"Why," but then stopped himself. Didn't Iwai tell him about his shitty childhood? That's probably why.]

Well, then you better have fun at this one. You have forty-something years to make up for tonight.

I'll have cake then throw everyone out so I can go home and have a hot time in the bedroom.

[All said with a straight face. Like yep. That's what's gonna happen alright.]

Well at least let everyone finish painting the place before you have a romp with your boyfriend.

You really don't get how these birthday party things work do you?

It's a thing to celebrate me and people are here to make me happy.

[Which means when he's done socializing? You all go.]

Well, at least you have the "greedy birthday boy" act down.

Sure. We'll call it that. Mostly it's just that I'm not a social guy. You guys came and when I'm done that'll be that.

You're social to some extent mate or you wouldn't have all these people here supporting you during your birthday.

Not sure what point you're trying to prove. Introverts can have people they know. Saw some TV special on that once.

Just because someone is an introvert doesn't automatically make them anti-social. And introvert is someone that becomes drained after socializing and needs to recharge by being alone. They can totally be social butterflies. Anti-social people however, just don't like being around a lot of people. So, which one are you?
